Not at this time. However, our indoor range does permit shooters to fire handguns, rifles and shotguns inside the range. Plus we have all the neccessities for sighting in a rifle.

Should I make a reservation for the shooting range?

It is not required to make a reservation to use the range. However, if you plan to come at a certain time, it never hurts to make one! Reservations can be made online, through social media pages or by calling the shop at 417-206-0908. Reservations are encouraged for weekend shooters. If you do wish to make a reservation, a TWO-HOUR MINIMUM advanced notice is required prior to  your requested reservation time.

Is there a time limit for the shooting range?

No. Range pass shooters and members both may stay on the firing line as long as they’d like during regular business hours. During times of heavier range traffic, JCF staff may implement a temporary time management system to help accomodate flow during those times.

Are there any age restrictions for using the shooting range?

Shooters must be a minimum age of 10 years old to enter the shooting range. Any range patron  under the age of 21 years old, must be accompanied by an adult 21  years of age or older.

I have little to none shooting experience and I'd like to visit the shooting range. What's my first step?

We welcome new shooters on a daily basis! Just set up a time with us to come by for an hour or two and take a private lesson. We will fit you in to the proper firearm for starting out, and then show you the ropes! Or the targets…however you wanna look at it!

What to do in case of a cease fire?

In case of a cease fire: immediately stop shooting, unload your firearm, lock the action open, place your firearm on the shooting bench with the muzzle facing down range and step back from the firing line. The Range Officer will communicate with the firing line at this time.

What to do if you experience a firearm malfunction while on the range?

If you experience a problem or malfunction with your firearm, bench your firearm with the muzzle pointed down range and contact the nearest Range Safety Officer.

May I retrieve my brass casings?

Yes, you are more than welcome to collect your spent brass during your range visit. Please refrain from collecting  other shooters spent casings. DO NOT go beyond the firing line shooting bench to retrieve your casings. Ask a RSO if you need assistance.
