Teaches the basic knowledge, skills and attitude for owning and operating a pistol safely.
Using NRA developed curriculum this 8-hour course includes classroom and range time teaching students to shoot revolvers and/or semi-automatic pistols. Students learn the NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting positions; cleaning the pistol; and will inform the student of continued opportunities for skill development. Students must pass a written Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination and perform a Live Fire Evaluation to receive a course completion certificate.
Class sizes are kept small so that safety may be covered extensively as safety is paramount in all that we do.
* Lunch will be catered from Red Onion and is included with your course payment.
